Perfect love casts out evil

I was finding it so hard to give thanks to God. A lot has happened in the last two weeks. Some good but mostly things I didn't prepare my heart for. The devil was finding it easier to find his way into my life, because I let fear and anxiety take over.

Things changed last night, Hillsongs United were in Mumbai for the first time, and they sang praise to our God who deserves all the glory. But more than that, Joel Houston spoke between a few songs, and what he said made me look at the bigger picture.
We so easily let fear and anxiety take over our lives. We don't realise that we serve a mighty God of perfect love. And where there is perfect love there can be no fear and anxiety, because these come from the devil.

Don't let him enter your lives. Believe firmly that God has a grip over your life and nothing can touch you. The devil will try but letting him succeed is turning your back on perfect love.

Today, I'm thankful for Jesus - for a love that's so unconditional and blameless. And the past two weeks seem like nothing when I put his love at the centre of it all.
