I'm starting a recurring post. This post will contain, numbers, facts, figures - rather anything that is intriguing for a new learner.
1) There had been 400 years of silence from God up until the time of Jesus' birth. The last communication with the Jewish people had with God is recorded in the book of Malachi. He renews His communication with His people by sending His only son.
2) While the shepherds were busy tending their flock an angel appears and they tremble in fear. They knew of God but had never experienced anything quite like this. The angel calms their fear and tells them the joyous news - the Savior, Jesus Christ, has been born!
